Okay, how about the time I bought a round of drinks for two VIP's?
I absolutely loved "The Mane Attraction" when it premiered in Season 5, and I thought it was one of the best episodes of the entire series up to that point. (I still do.) I traded a couple of emails with Amy Keating Rogers, thanking her for giving us such a wonderful story as her final piece of writing for the show, and I promised to buy her a round of drinks if I ever ran across her at another con. I also said I'd extend that offer to everyone who had a role in bringing the episode to life.
Then last year's BronyCon came around, and both she and Lena Hall were on the guest list. When I visited each of their autograph tables, I brought up the promise I'd made and said I had that round of drinks with me. In fact, I had a whole sixpack--but there was one catch: they had to mix the drinks themselves.
And I pulled out a box of powdered flavor packets, ready to mix into a bottle of water, and plunked it on the table. Six to a box. One sixpack, as described, no booze, no waste, no mess, no muss, no fuss, no problem. I'm very sure they weren't expecting to get those drinks in quite this form, but that's how I work sometimes. I kept my promise, they both got a rise out of it, and life rolled on.
