Well yeah, that's because Blizzcon has been going on for years, and it is focused on world-famous videogames that are enjoyed by tens of millions. The tickets sell out in under 5 minutes after they become available. Of course something like that is $200.
And yeah, since it's taking place in the very tiny and cramped RI Convention Center, I doubt they're really going to do a whole lot. I'm only buying a Saturday ticket.
As for pony content, it looks like there's 2 or 3 pony-related panels each day, as well as the pony-themed dinner (which costs an extra $200...jesus. what are they serving, filet mignon with caviar and truffles?) and the other small non-panel pony stuff throughout the con.
I'm really only going as an excuse to cosplay, since I live 10 minutes from the con.
