Working in the restaraunt business for 7 years now. I learned that the bigger your party the more the servers and espescially the cooks hate you. Your waitor/waitress may put on a smile but as soon as they walk back its A LOT of F this party of 20. And what makes the cooks mad is once they start cooking for a large enough party, the food for that party takes up every square inch of the grill so they cant throw any food down for smaller parties and when a server comes back and asks the cook where the food for their party of 3 is because the customer is getting antsy. That just makes everyone mad. Im not saying dont gather up a large party, I mean business is business, you helping ensure I get my paycheck. but it definetly does put the staff in a hole. Sometimes too deep and beyond recovery.
