Since panel apps are open, I thought I'd get a thread up and going about what we might be seeing this year for BronyCon 2017!
Let us know what panel(s) or activity(ies) you've submitted! Pitch ideas for what you'd like to see!
Express your interest/excitement in attending panels mentioned! Help each other plan out interesting titles! And maybe those with panels in the past can give tips for the application process to newbies unsure what helps make a successful pitch?
I, myself, am submitting 3:
1. Plushie Artist Q&A
I've missed this one in recent years! Having 3-4 artists to answer the public's most pressing questions on the art and business of plushmaking will be very informative, I think! I'm also planning on doing a small beanie plushie giveaway in order to encourage (bribe) people into coming. Who should I make?
2. Techniques of Plushmaking (Or maybe Plushmancy 101, How it's Made - MLP Plushies, or some other title? Help me out!)
I know artists in the past have done similar panels, so I thought I'd throw my knowledge into the pot! Fabrics to buy, embroidery techniques, and even photo editing. All in brief, but gives a general idea! Maybe I should have a small pamphlet too for those who might be interested in using the info I teach to try their hand at plushmaking. I'd also be happy to do a little pattern giveaway too! Mine should be done by then.
3. How to Make a "Good" MLP OC (or alternatively, How to Make a "Canon Worthy" MLP OC)
Quite a different subject matter from my other two, but I've had a lot of experience in designing what most consider to be really nice OCs. I want to teach techniques for selecting a nice name, color scheme, and other aspects of pony creation, pulling ideas/"rules" from the aesthetics of the show itself, as well as some of the principals of design in general which really help in a more objective way when designing a character.
4. Make your own Mini Pony Plushie
Kiashone is actually submitting this one, but I wanted you guys to know we are hoping this awesome activity will be back for the third year! It's always been insanely popular, so if it makes it be sure to get in line EARLY (like literally an hour early if you want a decent shot at a spot )
What do you guys think?
