Boy, it's been a while. This next Con took us all by surprise, I'm sure. Personal opinion, let's make the last one the BEST one, yeah? Yeah.
So, this year, I have 3 major things in mind. For one, I will still be holding the event on Thursday (August 1st). While I can't spill the beans on when, the why and the where is fair game.
WHERE: Charles St. Lobby*
*Might be able to finagle for an actual room around there.
WHY: On Thursday, I can use the location above as a staging point. On Wednesday (July 31st), it would be off-limits.
1). Pokémon GO!
I mean, it all started with me wanting to do more raids and catch more 'mons. This will still be a major facet, make no mistake. I decided against a large, mass walk as raiding tends to vary, as well as weather conditions. (However, if there is a large enough interested group and a raid nearby, I will roll out with them to get it) I may otherwise be out every so often to go catch, but I should be chilling. See 3 about that.
Punchline? There is none. This year, I plan to pick a static location (for Day 0, anyway) for people who need to cool down, charge up, trade, or PvP. Feel free to bring along the DS, 3DS, Switch, other handheld for more Pokémon shenanigans. I'll be bringing my own Switch, for example, to let people come and trade Pokémon from Pokémon GO for a Mysterious Box.
For those who don't know, the convention has a Discord server!
If you already have been on this server (and joined under the Trainer tag), you will need to assign the Trainer role again, as we had a wipe so we could get the people who would be interested this year. On the server, you can talk to other attendees about the convention itself, or coordinate with others. Be it the Legendary raid down the street to simply getting some chow, the server is a wonderful tool to communicate.
