You did win.
But what is winning?

Well, winning was invented in 1269 when the first Super Bowl was played in Australia with Rebecca Shoichet.
But what is the Super Bowl?
Well, you see, a Super Bowl is a Bowl filled with horses, making it brilliant, better than the rest. And, since the first Super Bowl was played by Rebecca Shoichet, the term Shoi Bowl was coined. But, in 1765, when Mr. Wincent Uper successfully recreated the games, the name changed to ShoiUper Bowl. Now, it's shortened to Super Bowl, for simplicity.
And, you see, Mr. Uper was recreating the games because he failed. He lost the 2002 Olympics. So, Mr. Uper traveled back in time to shorten the term "didn't lose". You see, Mr. Uper hated things that could be short, but are stretched out way too long. So, he made the word "win" in order to celebrate succeeding. His name was immortalized in the word, and WIN was now forever used in order to tell that someone did something correct. That they were better than the rest.
