Vendor Help

Hi,
I'm new to the Bronycon vendor scene and I'm only in artists alley. Does anyone have any advice for first-time vendors? I'll be selling art prints, art commissions, and plush.
to be perfectly honest, I'm really nervous and I feel some of my art may not cut it. Anyone have any tips to help me out?

also if anyone is looking for a particular plush character it would be great to get some ideas

Well I’m not a vendor myself (bc my art is amateur at best haha) but I would say that there is 100% no reason to worry! You got into the artist alley!! I know it’s scary and from what I’ve heard set up can be a little hecktic if you don’t know what to do. But there are plenty of people who are willing to lend a helping hoof! It’s all about having fun and remembering that you’re around people just like you!

Just don’t forget all your supplies when you set your booth up. I’ve heard a few convention horror stories from vendors who forgot their stuff on set up day so they had to rush everything on the first con day. Also make sure to bring snacks and water just to stay hydrated and in good health!

I've never been a vendor ,but I've had a lot of garage sales , make sure to have plenty of change. I checked out your deviantart and your art is amazing! You've got nothing to worry about in your art making the cut because it already has since you get to sell it in the first place. I'll definitely stop by to buy a print or maybe a plushie (I'm looking for some of the "villain" plushies specifically trixie, discord, and queen chrysalis) Will your vending name be the same as your deviantart name?

@Eclipse_Light Yes, my booth name should be the same, it was different earlier on but I asked the staff to change it so hopefully they followed through. And I will be sure to have a couple Trixies there for you!

As for some plush advice, don't make too obscure stuff. I've seen a lot of plushers in the past try to make more obscure characters over less M6 or mane cast, and it ends up sitting at the table all weekend. Stick with M6 characters, and some of the other popular ones (Starlight, Trixie, Celestia, Luna).

This advice is great! I'm the same amount of nervous for the same reasons tbh. But it's nice to know someone else is nervous too ^^

Yes, I am definitely sticking to more regular characters. Full size, chibis, and some seaponies. any one you're particularly interested in? @Rares

@Sweet_Candy_Corn for my art commissions it kina varies, for a sketch it'll be about $5, inked will be $10, and colored will be $20 and an extra character will be +$5 per character and you'll be able to choose a size and media ( colored pencil or marker)

I generally look for Rarity stuff, would personally love a Rarity seapony. Do you happen to have any pics of your plush work?

don't forget non-ponies, nothing to obscur, but Spike, Discord, Zecora, the Yaks ( maybe on that one.) have a little bit of a following. ( Though I'm not looking for one, Just seeing the Yaks in plush form would be interesting. I wouldn't doubt expensive both to make and sell, so unless you have someone who will buy ahead of time or fancy an expensive challenge then please don't)
